Your Avatar

What is your avatar and why? If you've had more than one, feel free to list them all.

My avatar is Tim from Braid. I picked it because Braid is just that awesome, and also because I feel a sense of personal identification with Tim, the idealistic seeker, naive but perceptive, foolish but learning, a man who fails at his goals only to find an unlooked-for success. In this screenshot, Tim looks out at his path with fear and apprehension, but determined nonetheless.

My old avatar was a pic that Bold Deceiver made depicting me as a cynical grackle sighing a mighty sigh. It was apt.

I recruited my avatar to battle someone else's tiger. Because victory in the internet avatar universe is important.

Mine is the "Forum is over capacity" message.

Reason should be obvious.

This is a picture of me from my early days in Georgia. I had not yet become the shining knight of soviet strength to the world - just a youth with many ideals crashing around in his head. It is a gesture to show I was once irresolute as well, and that might is acquired by constant application of one's resolve, not simply birth right.

My old avatar was my personal logo, which you may notice I slip in to Beast artwork as a form of signature.

Mine is a one of the first sketches I made on my Artrage program. It made me happy. Plus, I truly am one of the living dead. And a girl.

ArtRage rulz. Bang for buck, it's the best art program out there.

I'm doubting the undead bit, though. Rosy cheeks? Mischievous grin? Seems a bit... warm.

Are you sure those are rosy cheeks? Maybe she's just a messy eater.

It's rouge. Made from the blood of one of the slower runners. That also made me happy.

Mine is me. Usually a cloak would be involved in the getup as well, but it just didn't work out that time.

"Wonko's Avatar" A Drabble by ROU Killing Time

He prepared for his day as he always did, tightening the strap on his gasmask to make sure it had not loosened in his sleep.

Wonko stepped through the disinfectant shower and quickly changed his hazmat cloak.

That is why it was this drabblecast listener that survived after the earth passed through a cloud of radioactive zombie mutagen, to rise up and reclaim the earth.

He would tell his children of the fulfillment of the prophecies.

After the rather significant mess was cleaned up.

Does he have a flame-thrower to go along with his getup?

It might come in handy.

Well, since it's all part of my time travel outfit, I don't have a flamethrower. But it might be useful to have one for general purposes.

Mine was made by Mr. Tweedy after I helped Norm out of a pickle with his website. The Joke was St. Tom, hence the avatar.

I now wear his medal around my neck. Blessed by Norm, Kendall and Luke, it is also guaranteed to annul the curses of not forwarding chain letters.

My avatar is a picture of Norm's brother, Indiana Sherman, coming to my rescue on an emu with a boomerang. From an old photo album.

Mine is a funny bunny!

When I first listened to The Drabblecast I heard Norm speak of the Mega Beast Death Match and all kinds of scary animals. On the forums, I saw some very scary avatars and I thought that was the norm (pun) here. Since I hardly ever do what is expected of me (it's a subconscious thing. Psychologists love me), I thought "Let's do something completely different, let's be cute." And so I went with the cute funny bunny.

Also, The Drabblecast needs more Cuteness! There's way too much testosterone floating around here.
