interesting note, the wikipedia entry on Bulettes says that it is the combination of a shark, armadillo, and snapping turtle.

Ye-ah!!!!!! The maker of the video is here :]

Hi Lucas, great vid! I loved the part were the Drabblecastcast was all real, like real people. You did a wonderful job filming those guys. It must have been a difficult job to get them to act so natural, especially with all that booze flowing around. Great job!

I'm adding votes from the video podcast to official tally. In case someone can hear the audio a bit better, and wants to correct my count, it will be:

Celebrities:

3 Scraptor
1 Armourdillo (bless you Zorak)

Random Con Folks:

4 Armourdillo
3 Scraptor
2 Sharkitraz
0 Pandemic (none shall be spared!)

IS THIS LIKE THE 2000 ELECTION OR WHAT?!!
Norm Sherman is a hanging chad.
StalinSays is the Supreme Court.
And I'm a 90 year old lady from Ft Lauderdale who was just trying to vote for Julio Iglesias.

I guess that means Pandemic will be winning the Oscar and Nobel Prize after spending the next 8 years leading the fight to save the environment and save the world from blight.

Adam, you ought to get all over that, it's so rich in irony.

Dude, you should see the tomes I'm writing for these hybrid finalists. It reads like a page out of the Monster Manual.

Visually, I actually used a Bulette illustration as partial reference for Sharkitraz, and a little touch of Orc in the Armourdillo.

dude, keep all your stuff you're working off of. it's seriously amazing. when you end up getting famous you can auction off original sketches and concept designs like special features. i took all the ones youve done so far, yanked them off their backgrounds and made a wallpaper for my laptop. probably not as good as something you could do with it though. if you get bored enough to throw together a quick desktop-sized collage, maybe after the finalists are done, and want to post it on here in hi rez, im sure i wouldnt be the only person to use it.

pandemic is my personal fav so far, in terms of great name, concept, and hilarious art. he was, by himself my wallpaper pre-collage. i almost didnt mind his near-victory simply from his novelty, even though he didnt realistically stand a chance.

i second that Bo is a genius. Either we will make him famous or he makes us famous, I'm pretty cool with either scenario.

I figure online is great for creative commons exposure etc, but if you wanna make cash you still gotta go tangible. Trading cards, mousepads, coffee mugs, full oil paintings... there's gotta be a market for megabeasts. I shutter to think of one day being able to own a Skullverine wrist watch.

Thanks all for the words. Your love and respect will quickly diminish when you are forced read over the massive tomes that are the finals dossiers and voting system proposals. Each is hurtling your way, as we speak.

If you'll excuse me, I have a Wii and 1,000$ Walmart gift card to redeem.
