V-Day

Postby ROU Killing Time on Wed Sep 23, 2009 5:33 pm

The commander inspected his troops. Row upon endless row they stretched into the distance, strapped firmly in their acceleration beds. Warm viscous fluid surrounded their faceted crystalline armor, proof against the terrible gravitational forces or damage from launch debris.

They had already conquered this world, now they would go out into the greater galaxy, bringing world after world under their dominion.

With a gesture he ordered the invasion to commence.

After a forceful sneeze, Robert wiped away the phlegm remaining on his lips and regarded the yellow mucous that seemed to be glaring back with a look of sinister malevolence.

Yes, hackneyed to be sure. I was just trying to make the best of this dreadful cold that laid me up all weekend. Someone please pass me some kleenex. I'm all out.

Reminds me of this terrible little piece I wrote last time I was sick bad. I've been wondering were the newest NW chapters were, but now I know you were sick.

He landed hard, but was not injured. Luck was with him, the target was in sight. He quickly located the receptor, and activated it. Access granted! The others from his cell said it was going to be an easy job, and they were right. He opened the wall and entered. A quick survey located the control center. Defenseless. He hooked himself in, and smiled. His work was done. The system would take the virus and replicate it countless times, until there was no stopping them. A new day was dawning.

Frank sneezed. He hoped he wasn’t coming down with something...
But one day when Adam was taking a snooze, God plucked out his rib and created the blues!

Yes, needed to fight through this uck, lest the protagonist find himself leading an army of white blood cells against terrifying viral invaders.

Too "Fantastic Voyage" imo. I'm sticking to Theraflu.

I have great respect (and more than a little jealously) for your work, Rev. So this means a lot to me, coming from you.

Would have been cool if you could have worked in the story about the demoniac Legion and the herd of swine that got driven into the sea. Just change the maritime into a space launch ending, and there you are: swine flu.
