Mr.Baker, I'm grateful for your suggestion I focus on characters and events. Its my hope to balance those with some kickass imagery and end up with something really cool.
The other night, I tossed out the original ending idea and came up with a story arc and plot-line that I think will have a much more realistic and satisfying feel, even though the story is set in an SF/Fantasy/Horror milieu.
I already have many new characters from both sides of the war defined, and planned chapters to introduce them and mesh them into the storyline.
The end result should be an edge-of-the-seat suspence drama, a hard-hitting SF story,a gritty wartime chronicle, and (forgive the expression) a pulse-quickening horror tale that I hope some people may enjoy.
I'm going to let chapters 1-3 be a sneak peak and get reviews on the ongoing work privately from anyone who would care to provide feedback and commentary. I may make some technical mis-steps along the way, but I've got lots of good advice coming both from you DC homies and some other people who's advice I always like to consider.
