how do you split the netcast into sections?

how do you split the netcast into sections?

Postby robertmarkbram on Sun Aug 02, 2009 3:58 am

Hi All,

Love Drabblecast - and in particular I like how the 'cast is split into sections, so you can hit next and previous to skip ahead and backwards. Very friendly.

How is that done? Is it a specific program? I want to suggest the technique to a few other favourite netcasts..

Rob

It's called an "enhanced" podcast. You can't achieve it with MP3's, you have to use MP4 AAC files. That's why Norm put's out two feeds, one for old fogeys who want MP3's and the main feed for cool people like us. :-)

I think he does the chaptering in Garage Band, he'll have to tell ya.

It is a great facility for netcasts that have more of a 'magazine' forum.. like to hear more from Norm about it then. :)

w00t, fogey! I love not being hip :)
(and the fact that I'm saying 'hip' might put some extra punctuation to that statement I guess)

It is, however, sad for us old fogeys that we miss the cool pics that Norm puts in the episodes. Makes me weep every week :(

Tom pretty much nailed it. I prefer em too, but MP3 is still the standardized safe bet.

MP3 is the final outcome, resistance is useless.
