How did you find the Drabblecast? Did you hear about us on another podcast? Click on an advertisement? Hear about us from a friend? Decipher runes in some ancient temple?
In addition to the poll, feel free to post below on the specifics about the journey that brought you into our loving tentacles.

Not blogging exactly. I happened to frequent the Escape Pod forum where Norm goes as "Goat Keeper", and I eavesdropped on his conversations. I came. I heard. I liked.

I found Escape Pod by searching for "science fiction" in the iTunes directory.

I was listening to Cory Doctorow's Craphound podcast, when he suddenly referenced a new story that was up on something called "Escape pod." I started listening religiously to that, until at some point Steve Eley mentioned Drabblecast, perhaps because Norm was guest hosting or reading or something. I liked the sound of gross-ish stories, so I checked it out.

Took me a while to listen to all of them because of the lower quality of the early episodes, but I eventually did do it.

I think I read about the Drabblecast on the forums of EscapePod.
O, maybe Stephen Eley talked about it on EscapePod. Or maybe I heard the promo of the Drabblecast. Darn, I forgot. So much happened in the short span of time in which I discovered lots of podcasts. In any case, the Drabblecast came up a few times and I went and checked it out. And then I was hooked, downloaded the whole shebang, and listened to all the episodes in a huge DrabbleMarathon.

And I love it when I come across promos for the Drabblecast on other podcasts, keep spreading the word!

I have followed boingboing for some time. Cory Doctorow mentioned Asimov's and Analog a few times, and I found them in my local newsagents. There was an article in one of those about sci-fi podcasts. I'd listened to a few novels from podiobooks, but I was looking for short fiction. EP seemed to fit the bill.

The DrabbleCast was mentioned on EP and promoed a few times. I also read a few positive comments in the EA forums. Like Mr Tweedy I thought goatkeeper was a pretty cool guy. I mean, the guy compared giant squids to buses in his avatar! He mentioned the DC in his sig line. When I was looking to fill a hole in my podcast line up, I came over this way.

I'm still waiting for goatkeeper to show up. You can always pick a fan boy...
It is something that has to be proved scientifically, that a human being turned into a goat.

Boing Boing spotlighted EscapePod, EscapePod spotlighted Norm and Worm Within. First short fiction 'cast I ever checked out got me to the last one I'd ever need!

Hmm... Did you know Norm before you bought the CD? If not, how did you find out about the CD? (Just trying to help your marketing here Norm.)

There was a review of his CD on CDBaby, which I peruse frequently. Good cover art too. The sample songs were hilarious so I bought one.

I found a link to Drabblecast on Pseudopod. If you have not yet visited Pseudopod do so.

On a vision quest I was confronted by a tremendous green tentacle emerging from scorched earth and a tribe of many dangerous elephants, some with wings, some not. When I awoke, I was wise (and a drabblecast subscriber).

I heard the drabblecast promo (on WTT??) and was sold. Excellent prmo BTW, unlike anything else.

I may have heard Steve Eley gassing about drabblecast on EP previously but ignored him.

I know I heard about it via an Escape Pod blog post, but I honestly don't remember when.

Nix that, iTunes says it was November of last year.

When Escapepod vanished for a month or so, Eley recommended people come here to get their flash-fic-fix. You can tell the podcast world is still one big, semi-dysfunctional, but still happy family that hasn't degenerated into a McDonalds Vs Burger King style ad-war.

It was way, way back in umm...2007 maybe. Norm got Steve Eley to play his promo on Escape Pod, and I was there in a flash. There were only about 30 episodes back then, but I'm still much more amused by those first few stories than any other. "The Worm Within" is still my favorite DC of all time. I remember being in the car, shouting to no one in particular (since no one was in the car with me), "OH NO! YOU ARE NOT GONNA GO THERE!"

Yes, you're right, Ankle (may I call you Ankle? Big Ankle seems so formal...)
The Worm Within brings back fond memories. The tone so matter-of-fact. The graphic visualizations. Something you might expect to see starring Rick Steves. Except Rick never goes to the bathroom. Have you noticed that?

I found the Drabblecast on Escape Pod or Pseudopod - one of the two.
