Buddy Boy

Okay, this is a stretch and I'm fishing here, but I just watched the movie Buddy Boy at the request of my brother. Although it contains no zombies, aliens, or vampires, it does have its own strong flavor of weird, and I'm wondering if anyone here saw it. If so, what's your take on the grate in the floor at the end?
