Whispering in the hallway. Silently, I crept up to them. The cats were standing upright. It was the last thing I ever saw.
I don't get that one. (sends royalty to Mr.Tweedy...)
Sometimes, I think they the Drabbles are best if they leave you wondering, "What the freak just happened" or "Uh, what?". Like the story-version of an Improbability Drive.

To a certain extent, I'd agree. I generally tend to subscribe to the "two second rule" where the "What the freak just happened" is followed by a hearty guffaw, or an Ewwwww, Yuck, or a OMFG. Artsy can be fine if done well "Navy Wife" comes to mind, where there really is no obvious answer to why the cycle is occurring but in my own experience in drabbling the ones that don't provide a payoff at some point leave the readers unsatisified. Like sex with no orgasm.
I can infer that perhaps the protaganist of your twabble is perhaps a dog or a mouse, maybe it's a reference to "Belling the cat" but at this point I haven't made any solid link between "The Plan" and the Twabble itself.
Dont take it personally. I thought "Resistance is Tasty" in the other twabble to be a very good line, (and yes I got the Adams reference when I read that one, and it prompted a genuine chuckle.)
