The Drabblecast

"Men!" Barbara shouted indignantly, to no one in particular. "They're so thickheaded. They only love my body and not my brains!" Barbara's latest failed relationship had left her feeling somewhat jaded.

She pondered the absolute pointlessness of her love life. She'd had many lovers recently and none of them had understood or really satisfied her. But they were smart, and she’d learned something new from each of them.

"After all," she sighed, "I loved them for their brains."

She lifted the oozing skull of her latest lover to her lips and, making loud slurping noises, sucked the brain-pan clean.

It loses points, with me, due to the squick factor and maybe a smidgen of predictability. But, it's still good.

Yea, the title does kind of give it away. This was my "get a zombie drabble in before Halloween" deadline. And my friends all say I'm full of squick anyway. At least that's what I think they're saying.

Hey, one's good clean fun. The other makes me queasy.

Brains are like oysters, an acquired taste. Just like certain drabbles some take a finer palate to appreciate.

No fava beans, though. Hate them. And I think a Chardonnay would go better with brains. Great saying. I trust that means you liked it. I like the icky "brain-eating zombie" stories. I also like stories about weird neighbors getting into even weirder s***.

Yes I did like the drabble and if that was a reference to my neighborhood stories then i am glad you liked them.
